Start that Call Google Meet integration for Confluence and Jira icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call integrates Confluence pages and Jira tickets with popular online meeting platforms, allowing you to quickly schedule meetings related to your work—or even start them instantly. Available plugins Google Meet for Confluence Google Meet for Jira Microsoft Teams for Confluence Microsoft Teams for Jira GoTo Meeting for Confluence GoTo Meeting for Jira The plugin adds a new option under the "Actions" menu ( "Apps" in the new Atlassian UI), making it easy to schedule an upcoming meeting or start one right away. In addition, the Confluence version provides convenient byline items Start that Call – Call now Start that Call – Schedule call These allow you to instantly launch a call or plan one for later. You can also configure the plugin to automatically leave a comment with the meeting recording and transcript under the original page or issue once they're available. With icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call , initiating meetings for your Confluence pages and Jira tickets takes just a couple of clicks.
Installation 1. Search for "Start that Call" by DSR Corporation on the Atlassian Marketplace. 2. Choose the plugin for the platform of your choice Google Meet for Confluence Google Meet for Jira Microsoft Teams for Confluence Microsoft Teams for Jira GoTo Meeting for Confluence GoTo Meeting for Jira 3. Click "Get it Now" to add the plugin to your environment. 4. Start that Call from your Confluence page or Jira ticket actions menu or byline item.
Initial setup The first time you use icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call , you’ll need to connect your Google account and grant the necessary permissions to create Google Meet calls and Google Calendar events. Follow the steps below to complete the setup 1. Access icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call via the Actions (or Apps ) menu, or through the byline item. 2. When prompted, click “Sign in with Google” to begin the connection process. 3. A new browser tab will open. If you have multiple Google accounts, select the appropriate one. Sign in if needed. 4. You’ll be presented with the DSR Plugins Privacy Policy. Review it, then click “Continue” to proceed. 5. Next, you’ll see a list of permissions required for \ StartThatCall Start that Call to function properly. Please select all requested permissions and click “Continue.” 6. Finally, you’ll be redirected back to your Atlassian product, and icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call will be ready to use. [!NOTE] Data Privacy and Storage Notice DSR does not store any data related to your meetings. All meeting-related information is securely stored within the Atlassian infrastructure. Furthermore, DSR does not have access to the content of your meetings. Links to recordings and transcripts are provided as-is, without DSR accessing or storing the actual content. [!NOTE] Google Workspace Notice A Google Workspace subscription is required to access recordings and transcripts in Google Meet.
Usage Once configured, open any Confluence page or Jira ticket. You’ll find a new option to launch icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call Confluence Under the More actions (or Apps ) menu, or via content byline items Jira In the Issue Actions menu, Issue Context (side panel) or using Crtl+K shortcut and entering icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call Confluence - more actions menu Confluence - content byline items ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jira - Issue Context (side panel) Jira - Issue Actions menu Jira - Command Palette Clicking the icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call button will open a pop-up window with meeting setup options (except when using the “Call now” byline item or command panel, which immediately starts a call without showing the setup window). 1. If you're not logged into the app, you’ll be prompted to do so. Follow the instructions provided on the relevant page Initial setup 2. Once logged in, the pop-up will display controls for configuring your meeting Meeting name – The title used for the Google Calendar event Participants – A list of invitees for the call Date – The scheduled date of the meeting Start time – When the meeting begins Duration – Length of the meeting Timezone – Timezone for the invite Call now button – Starts the meeting immediately (no calendar event created) Schedule call button – Creates a Google Calendar event based on the form details Find recordings button – Searches for available meeting artifacts (recordings and transcripts). Use this option if you notice an unusual delay in their delivery. [!NOTE] Note Google typically provides meeting artifacts with a 5–10 minute delay After successfully scheduling or starting a meeting you’ll see a confirmation screen with the meeting details and a direct link to the call. An automatic comment with the meeting details will be added to the relevant Confluence page or Jira ticket. Once the call is complete and Google finishes processing the artifacts (recordings and transcripts), a follow-up comment with the corresponding links will be added beneath the original comment. [!NOTE] Please note that you need Google Workspace to have recordings and transcripts on Google Meet. [!WARNING] Calls initiated using Ctrl+K (Command Palette) in Jira won’t have meeting comments, recordings and transcripts delivered automatically.
