In addition, the Confluence version provides convenient byline items Start that Call – Call now Start that Call – Schedule call These allow you to instantly launch a call or plan one for later. You can also configure the plugin to automatically leave a comment with the meeting recording and transcript under the original page or issue once they're available. With icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call , initiating meetings for your Confluence pages and Jira tickets takes just a couple of clicks.
Installation 1. Search for "Start that Call" by DSR Corporation on the Atlassian Marketplace. 2. Choose the plugin for the platform of your choice Google Meet for Confluence Google Meet for Jira Microsoft Teams for Confluence Microsoft Teams for Jira GoTo Meeting for Confluence GoTo Meeting for Jira 3. Click "Get it Now" to add the plugin to your environment. 4. Start that Call from your Confluence page or Jira ticket actions menu or byline item. Configuration icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call Microsoft Teams integration for Jira and Confluence uses the following Microsoft Graph scopes in addition to basic OAuth ones to schedule meetings and retrieve meeting artifacts User.Read - Allows users to sign-in to the app, and allows the app to read the profile of signed-in users. It also allows the app to read basic company information of signed-in users. Chat.Read - Allows an app to read 1 on 1 or group chats threads, on behalf of the signed-in user. Calendars.ReadWrite.Shared - Allows the app to create, read, update and delete events in all calendars in the organization user has permissions to access. This includes delegate and shared calendars. OnlineMeetings.ReadWrite - Allows the app to read and create online meetings on behalf of the signed-in user. Granting access to these scopes, even in delegated mode, may require additional configuration in Microsoft Entra. Granting organization-wide consent (admin) The easiest way to grant the required permissions is to sign in to the application using a user with administrator privileges and approve the requested scopes on behalf of the organization. This allows all users to use the application without granting permissions individually. Granting consent per user If you prefer a more granular configuration where each user grants consent individually, ensure that Application Access Policy and user consent settings are configured correctly. To configure this 1. Sign in to Microsoft Entra using an administrator account. 2. Navigate to Enterprise Applications → Security → Consent and permissions . 3. In User consent settings , select one of the following options Let Microsoft manage your consent settings (Recommended) Allow user consent for apps from verified publishers, for selected permissions If Allow user consent for apps from verified publishers, for selected permissions is selected, open the Permission classification tab and ensure the following Microsoft Graph permissions are allowed Calendars.ReadWrite.Shared OnlineMeetings.ReadWrite Chat.Read User.Read openid - Sign users in offline\ access - Maintain access to data you have given it access to profile - View users' basic profile email - View users' email address If Let Microsoft manage your consent settings (Recommended) is enabled but users still cannot grant permissions, switch to Allow user consent for apps from verified publishers and ensure the permissions listed above are allowed. After completing this configuration, users will see the permission consent screen during sign-in and will be able to grant access to the application.
Initial Setup The first time you use icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call , you’ll need to connect your Microsoft account and grant the necessary permissions to create Microsoft Teams calls and Microsoft Teams Calendar events. Follow the steps below to complete the setup 1. Access Start that Call via the Actions (or Apps ) menu, or through the byline item. 2. When prompted, click “Sign in with Microsoft Teams” to begin the connection process. 3. A new browser tab will open. If you have multiple Microsoft accounts, select the appropriate one. Sign in if needed. 4. Next, you’ll see a list of permissions required for Start that Call to function properly. Please review all requested permissions and click “Accept” . If you are an administrator , you can also grant consent on behalf of your organization. 5. Finally, you’ll be redirected back to your Atlassian product, and Start that Call will be ready to use. [!NOTE] Data Privacy and Storage Notice DSR does not store any data related to your meetings. All meeting-related information is securely stored within the Atlassian infrastructure. Furthermore, DSR does not have access to the content of your meetings. Links to recordings and transcripts are provided as-is, without DSR accessing or storing the actual content. [!NOTE] Microsoft Organization Notice Microsoft Organization subscription is required to create calls and access recordings and transcripts in Microsoft Teams.
Usage Once configured, open any Confluence page or Jira ticket. You’ll find a new option to launch Start that Call Confluence Under the More actions (or Apps ) menu, or via content byline items Jira In the Issue Actions menu, Issue Context (side panel) or using Crtl+K shortcut and entering icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call Confluence - more actions menu Confluence - content byline item ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jira - Issue Context (side panel) Jira - Issue Actions menu Jira - Command Palette Clicking the icon{name="custom StartThatCall"} Start that Call button will open a pop-up window with meeting setup options (except when using the “Call now” byline item or command panel, which immediately starts a call without showing the setup window). 1. If you're not logged into the app, you’ll be prompted to do so. Follow the instructions provided on the relevant page Initial Setup 2. Once logged in, the pop-up will display controls for configuring your meeting Meeting name – The title used for the Microsoft Teams Calendar event Participants – A list of invitees for the call Date – The scheduled date of the meeting Start time – When the meeting begins Duration – Length of the meeting Timezone – Timezone for the invite Repeat – Meeting recurrence options Call now button – Starts the meeting immediately (no calendar event created) Schedule call button – Creates a Microsoft Teams Calendar event based on the form details [!NOTE] Note Microsoft typically provides meeting artifacts with a 5–10 minute delay After successfully scheduling or starting a meeting you’ll see a confirmation screen with the meeting details and a direct link to the call. An automatic comment with the meeting details will be added to the relevant Confluence page or Jira ticket. Once the call is complete and Google finishes processing the artifacts (recordings and transcripts), a follow-up comment with the corresponding links will be added beneath the original comment. [!WARNING] Calls initiated using Ctrl+K (Command Palette) in Jira won’t have meeting comments, recordings and transcripts delivered automatically.
